Ryan Higgins returns to London Spirit as one of four wildcard signings made by the side in this morning’s The Hundred Wildcard Draft. Higgins is joined by Sean Dickson in the men’s team while Kate Coppack and Abi Norgrove are the final players added to the women’s squad.
All-rounder Higgins was part of last year’s London Spirit squad and previously represented Welsh Fire in the 2021 and 2022 editions of The Hundred. Sean Dickson will be making his first foray into The Hundred after a strong start to the Vitality Blast T20 season with South Group league leaders Somerset.
Fast bowler Kate Coppack was instrumental in helping Sunrisers win last year’s Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, taking 19 wickets at 21.84, including 4 for 27 in the Final. Abi Norgrove is an exciting prospect in the top-order, having represented England in the Under-19’s Women’s T20 World Cup earlier this year.
The complete squad lists for London Spirit’s men’s and women’s teams are as follows:
Men: Kane Williamson (c), Jafer Chohan, Liam Dawson, Sean Dickson, Richard Gleeson, Ryan Higgins, Keaton Jennings, Wayne Madsen, Jamie Overton, Ollie Pope, Jamie Smith, Ashton Turner, David Warner, Dan Worrell and Luke Wood.
Women: Charlie Dean (c), Kira Chathli, Kate Coppack, Danielle Gibson, Sarah Glenn, Eva Gray, Cordelia Griffith, Grace Harris, Charli Knott, Sophie Munro, Abi Norgrove, Tara Norris, Georgia Redmayne, Rebecca Tyson and Issy Wong.
